Product liability claims must be based in fact

| Oct 13, 2016 | Products Liability

We recently discussed how second-hand smoke is damaging to your health. If you recall, we noted that people who were exposed to second-hand smoke at work might have claims for worker’s compensation if they suffered from an illness or injury because of that smoke. While the illnesses that are caused by cigarette smoke are horrible, there are other substances and products that can also lead to harm.

Think of asbestos. Many people were exposed to that substances before the devastating effects were known. Those people and their family members have to live with the horrors of mesothelioma and asbestosis.

We know that being harmed by any product is tragic. You have the right to seek compensation if you are injured by any product. Dangerous drugs and medical devices are some of the items that might lead to serious medical issues. Unsafe power tools or defective automotive components can be harmful.

No matter what type of product you were harmed or injured by, you should look into the possibility of seeking compensation. Once we evaluate the case, we can let you know the possibilities. Think about all of the exploding Samsung products, including the Galaxy phones and the washing machines, that have made the news recently. People who are hurt in those incidents shouldn’t have to pay for the problems with Samsung.

If you had to seek out medical care or you had to miss work because of the injury or illness that you suffered because of the defective or unsafe product, we are here to help you explore your options.
