Left-turn accident takes one life

There are those who argue that one of the most dangerous things you can do on the road is to make a left turn, and the high prevalence of these accidents seems to support that. Recently, such a crash in Florida took one life and sent another person to the hospital.

The two victims involved were a 25-year-old man from Orlando, who was driving a sedan, and a 59-year-old man in a white van. The sedan was heading east and the van was heading west, both on the same road. At an intersection, the driver of the van tried to make a left turn, but the vehicle collided with the sedan as it went by.

The impact was incredibly violent for the sedan, flipping it over and trapping the driver inside. Pictures show the totaled vehicle lying on its roof with emergency vehicles parked all around. The van is still sitting in the road, and it just has damage to the front end.

When the emergency workers arrived, they were able to get the young man out of the car, but he had already passed away. They said he did not have a seatbelt on. The older man in the van also did not have a seat belt, but his injuries were reportedly minor.

This accident shows you how fast a normal morning drive can take a life. It’s always tragic when someone who is so young, and who probably assumed they had many decades of happy, healthy life in front of them, passes away before their time. Grieving family members may be able to seek compensation for funeral costs and other losses.
