A man is dead after a 75-year-old woman apparently pulled out in front of him in her car. He was riding a motorcycle. He struck the car and suffered fatal injuries. He was 65 years old at the time of his death.

Reports from the Florida Highway Patrol indicate that the crash happened right around 11:45 a.m., in the middle of the day on Jan. 1, 2020. The biker was heading down Curry Ford Road. He and the woman approached the same intersection, where the woman was trying to turn left. She was supposed to yield the right of way to the bike, but she failed to do so. Instead, she started to turn and pulled in front of the motorcycle, which rammed directly into the front of her 2015 Kia Soul.

The police have not said what the man’s name was yet, but they did note that emergency crews rushed him to AdventHealth East Hospital after the accident. Officials at the medical center announced that he had passed away.

The police also said that the woman, who had minor injuries, has charges pending against her. As with most fatal crashes, they are still carrying out the investigation to make sure that they gather all of the facts before moving forward.

The world is a dangerous place for motorcycle riders. Sometimes, there’s nothing they can do to avoid an accident with a driver who simply makes a careless mistake. In a split-second, everything changes. If you get injured in one of these accidents, make sure you know how to seek out compensation.
