Child with serious injuries inspires those in Florida

A 7-year-old who suffered serious injuries in a car accident has turned into a source of inspiration for those in Florida.

The child and her mother were driving home back in 2019 when a drunk driver crashed into their car. The young girl who later said she “didn’t feel very good,” had a spinal cord injury and a TBI (traumatic brain injury). She was in critical condition and it was unclear if she would survive. Even if she did, experts thought she’d need a breathing machine and she’d be paralyzed for life.

It’s now nine months after the crash, and the girl has spent four of them in rehab. Her strength and determination during this difficult time have been incredibly inspiring, and she has seen more recovery than many ever dreamed. Not only can she speak, but she has feeling in her toes and she can move her arms.

That said, things like this are not cheap, and the family is looking at nearly $1 million in medical bills. They had planned a few different ways to raise money, such as holding a concert, but they’re not allowed to do so right now.

This story really helps show two sides of a story like this. On one side, the miraculous recovery has left people stunned and in awe of what a brave little girl can do. On the other side, though, the realities of the financial situation are setting in.

This is why it’s so important for those who get injured in serious car accidents to know how to seek out financial compensation.
