Wrong-way crash on I-75 involves 6 cars

The scene for a massive crash was I-75, the interstate that runs all the way from Florida to Michigan. A wrong-way driver in Florida caused a six-car crash.

The accident happened on Sunday, February 9, around the early hour of 3:00 a.m. Per the Florida Highway Patrol, a 25-year-old woman was driving south in the northbound lanes, behind the wheel of a 2020 Ford Mustang.

News stations claim that the young woman was the captain for a hockey dance team known as the Florida "Everbabes." She has been with the group for nine years. After the wreck, though, the group took her information off of their website.

The wrong-way driver slammed into the first of five northbound cars, with the others piling up behind in an unexpected chain reaction. Pictures show the absolutely obliterated cars; as is often the case, the wrong-way crash was incredibly violent.

The driver of the first car to be hit got injured, but those injuries are minor. Their passenger, however, had to be rushed from the scene with critical injuries. They are expected to survive, as their condition has been updated to "good." Eight other people managed to get through the crash without physical injuries.

The authorities are investigating the crash at this time to determine why it happened. As of the latest reports, they do not know if the wrong-way driver was impaired by alcohol at the time of the wreck.

Wrong-way accidents are incredibly dangerous and nearly impossible for other drivers to avoid. If you get injured, be sure you know how to seek financial compensation.
